Cube-Tec @ AES International Conference 2018

Visit us at the AES International Conference on Audio Archiving, Preservation & Restoration 2018 from the 28th to 30th of June in the US Library of Congress National Audio-Visual Conservation Center, Culpeper, Virginia, USA.
Let us show you the latest developments of Cube-Tec!

Tom Lorenz will give a joint oral presentation with Rob Friedrich from the Library of Congress and the topic is going to be "Extended preservation workflows: Derivatives of high resolution archive material: A case study".

Following is a short introduction into the presentation:

The handling of high resolution archive files in daily business applications is sometimes inconvenient. For better usability derivatives have to be created for end user friendly environments. Correct handling of metadata, renaming, logging of the process history and validating check sums are only a few requirements that have to be implemented according to specific user requirements. Automatic file based quality control of the audio content gives an additional benefit.

Cube-Tec has installed a post digitization workflow system that creates derivatives in an automatic process. Experience of a recent local installation at Library of Congress will be presented together with the client.

The presentation will be held on Friday (29th of June) during Block 6: Workflow Issues - Best Practices.
