Cube-Tec International, a leading supplier of automated MXF file correction systems, has become the winner of the IABM Design & Innovation award in the category: Test, Quality Control & Monitoring.

With the IABM Award, solutions are honoured that offer significant benefits and new opportunities to the broadcast and media industry. The winners in nine different categories were announced at the IABM reception and awards ceremony at IBC in Amsterdam on Saturday, 13-September 2014.

The purpose of MXF Legalizer is the correction of MXF files to achieve compliance to the varied MXF standards and to secure interoperability. This is all done in a fully automated high-speed process. Incoming MXF containers and bit streams are processed in a way that all doubtful and potentially error-prone specifics are corrected. MXF Legalizer does not re-encode the video essence. This avoids any deterioration of the media quality. The video essence remains complete untouched. When the MXF Legalizer conversion process is completed all output files obtain a homogeneous structure conforming in all details to the agreed standard compliant MXF flavour.
