Hoover Archive Installs QUADRIGA

Cube-Tec and Sascom Marketing Group, (Cube-Tec’s North American distributor) recently completed the installation of a QUADRIGA audio archival system at the prestigious Hoover Archive located at Stanford University in Northern California.

The Hoover QUADRIGA system runs on a dual Xeon processor based Dell workstation configured with two 250 GB internal drives for local storage, a SCSI interface to external storage, and CD/DVD burner. The Cube-Tec 9-Pin Module handles system Interfacing to Hoover source machines, and incoming audio files are analyzed in real time by AnalogObserver software which generates a comprehensive quality report on each file. The system also includes the BWF Editor, complete with Batch Processor, File Security Checker and BWF Merger.

Since some of the more common problems found in Hoover’s audio assets are buzz and hum, the system is also equipped the DeBuZZ VPI, one of 17 audio restoration tools available for the AudioCube and QUADRIGA systems.

With over 60 QUADRIGA systems installed in 12 different countries, The Hoover Archive joins a growing family of QUADRIGA equipped facilities.
