Egbert Koppe joins the Cube-Tec team
Egbert is professionally engaged in film archive technology for more than 30 years.
In his last position at German Federal Archives, Department Film Archive (Bundesarchiv, Abteilung Filmarchiv), Egbert served the last 14 years as Director of the section Preservation, Technical Services and Film Archiving.
In the past, Egbert has regularly been invited to give archives around the world advice on how to preserve their film collection, as in Serbia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Algeria, Afghanistan, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
For the German standardisation body DIN, Egbert worked as a lead editor of the new "Recommendations for digitisation of cinematographic film".
Egbert is a valued expert in the field of film defect classification and he will make sure that the Cube-Tec software development team understands the rich history of cinematographic film as well as the large diversity of photochemical film defects.
