Restoration for Pro Tools™ - Overview

Cube-Tec International, the innovative company best known for its world class audio mastering, restoration and audio archival products, has announced the availability of their renowned AudioCube restoration plugins for the Pro Tools™ platform.

 

Previously available exclusively for Cube-Tec's AudioCube, QUADRIGA and DOBBIN systems, the restoration tools are used by some of the world's most prestigious facilities, including Ascent Media, Bernie Grundman Mastering, Capitol Records, Chace Productions, Gateway Mastering, National Public Radio, Sony Music, Smithsonian Folkways, Library of Congress and The National Archives. Cube-Tec's international clients outside the US include the National Archives of Australia, Denmark, New Zealand, and Luxemburg, record industry customers such as Sonopress/Bertelsmann and Universal Studios, and most of the major public broadcasters in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden and Finland.

Thanks to the availability of several purpose-designed plugins, the AudioCube system is used extensively in film sound restoration and several of those highly specialized plugins will be available for the Pro Tools™ platform. The new ProTools RTAS versions of the AudioCube Restoration plugins were developed on the Mac OSX platform for Pro Tools™.

The initial Pro Tools™ range of Cube-Tec plugins will include DeBuzz, Spectral DeHiss Expert, DeScratcher, DeCrackler, DeClipper and RepairFilter.
