CubeDVD-A - Introduction

CubeDVD-A is a comprehensive DVD-Audio authoring module for the Cube-Tec AudioCube digital audio workstation. Developed in cooperation with Nippon Columbia Co. Ltd., CubeDVD-A is the first commercially available authoring package supporting simulation and proofing before creating a Pre-Master-Media. CubeDVD-A supports all sample rates and Bit resolutions available within the current DVD-Audio standard, including 24 bit /192 kHz in 2-channel and 24 bit / 96 kHz in multi-channel formats.

CubeDVD-A is capable of reading 'Audio Assets' that have been mastered with AudioCube, without file format conversion, with immediate production of encoded DVD-Audio according to the CPPM Process 1 (Copy Protection for Prerecorded Media). In addition, production of DVD-Audio with 8.5 GB dual layer DVD-9 is fully supported, as is MLP (Meridian Lossless Packing), SMART (System Managed Audio Resource Technique) and all other Version 1.2 Standard audio functions.

CubeDVD-A files can be written to Digital Linear Tape (DLT), and/or Disc Images. With an optional DVD-R Burner, media can be produced for immediate playback on DVD-A players for quality control and evaluation purposes.

CubeDVD-A Proof

CubeDVD-A Proof is a tool designed to "proof" a completed DVD-A-Scenario created during the DVD-Audio authoring process, by facilitating the playback of the CubeDVD-A-Scenario on the AudioCube.

With CubeDVD-A Proof, the operator can check the complete DVD-A menu and its structure with all links and commands, as well as the audio groups with browsable slideshows, prior to actually burning a DVD.
