The next possible hardware expansion step is to have the WorkUnit on a separate computer. The user can also control the current DOBBIN Job remotely from a workplace PC.

WorkUnit on a separate computer

The JobDesigner and JobManager (working as JobClient) are located on any PC. The ControlUnit, Database and first WorkUnit are on the Basic Package. The other WorkUnits are installed on external PCs - connected via a Gigabit network card. The JobManager can be located on any other external PC or laptop.

A file server is also needed so that the ControlUnit and the external WorkUnit both have access to files.
